Strategic Planning, Employee Engagement & Program Support
The U.S. DOJ Community Relations Service (CRS) serves as “America’s Peacemaker” for communities facing conflict based on actual or perceived race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
CRS was seeking consultative support with strategic planning and assisting with managing day-to-day employee engagement operations, and overall program support.
- Upon contract launch, assessed client’s specific needs and priorities, to develop a comprehensive work plan
- Continually built on work plan over the life of the engagement through effective communication and client collaboration
- For each initiative, established comprehensive communication plan to ensure engagement across each level of the organization (i.e., staff to leaderships; headquarters and regions)
- Designed and Facilitated Strategic Planning Process, each year—2018, 2019, 2020—SWOT, SMART goals and action plans & KPIs to ensure measurable results.
- Launch key Strategic Plan initiative to capture CRS historical knowledge from seasoned leaders, at some of the agency’s most historical civil rights landmarks
- streamlined and automated Annual Regional Assessment and Priorities (RAP) process to identify the Regional Casework priorities for all 50 states, and measure results per leadership requirements
- Developed a quarterly reporting process to measure and report goals; identify solutions to potential barriers
- Implemented a systematic process of analysis for (FEVs), focus group feedback, action planning, and quarterly results reporting
- Led the reissuance of the full SOP manual including facilitated Business Process Reengineering focus groups; launched SharePoint site; held staff training
